Terms of Service
Last Updated: June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, publishing campaigns, or posting comments on SocietyFixer, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you are prohibited from using the platform.
2. Platform Purpose
SocietyFixer is a public benefit civic technology platform designed to facilitate policy-focused dialogue between political candidates and voters. Use of this platform is limited exclusively to civic and political discourse. All postings must be civil, factual, logical, and substantive.
3. User Responsibilities & Content Ownership
Users retain ownership of the text, information, and files they submit to SocietyFixer. However, you grant SocietyFixer a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute this content. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you submit.
4. Moderation & Termination Rights
High-quality discourse is mandatory. All user-submitted text goes through a hybrid moderation process (pre-filters and AI content auditing). SocietyFixer reserves the right to reject submissions, hide/remove campaign profiles, and temporarily suspend or permanently ban user accounts at its sole discretion, without warning or liability, if content guidelines are violated.
5. Payments, Free Trial & Auto-Cancellation
Candidates subscribing to a campaign tier receive a 30-day free trial beginning upon publication of their first campaign. Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time via the Stripe Customer Portal. All payments are non-refundable.
To prevent accidental billing after campaign cycles close, subscriptions automatically cancel on Election Day + 1 day. Active candidates will receive a warning notice email 7 days before this auto-cancellation triggers.
6. Candidate Disclaimers & No Liability
SocietyFixer is an independent technology provider. We are not affiliated with any political candidate, political party, or political action committee. Candidate credentials and policies are self-reported and unverified. SocietyFixer does not verify candidate claims or endorse any candidates, and we are not liable for candidate statements or voter decisions.
7. Section 230 Safe Harbor
SocietyFixer is a provider of interactive computer services as defined under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act (47 U.S.C. § 230). We do not act as a publisher or speaker of information provided by third-party users. SocietyFixer expressly disclaims any liability for user-generated content, including campaign profiles, comments, policy statements, and other materials submitted by candidates or voters. All moderation actions are taken in good faith and do not constitute publisher discretion.
